It was 1957 when Harry Hoesnselaar opened the
first HoneyBaked Ham Company store in Detroit,
Michigan. He'd select only the
finest-quality bone-in hams, cure them in a secret marinade, and smoke them for
hours over a blend of hardwood chips. From there, Harry coated each ham in his
signature crispy-sweet glaze. He even invented a machine that can slice a ham
in one long, continuous spiral.
Three generations and over 400 stores later, the Hoenselaar family still
prepares HoneyBaked Ham the same way Harry did-with care, craft, and commitment
to quality that make this ham worthy of the title "World's Best".
